With pencils, rollers, brushes and maybe some spray paint. We gather in the foyer to begin with a short guided tour of the exhibition “The Return of Finsta”, to get some inspiration from graffiti artist Finsta.
Max 25 people on the tour.

Guided tour – Art Stories: Art and public transport (The tour is in swedish)

Public transport is an important place for public art – both commissioned and illegal! Art can help give the stations life and identity, convey thoughtful messages and make the journey something more than a transport from one place to another. How have artists thought when they created art for public transport environments? Can public transport be the subject for an artwork? And what has the subway meant for today's graffiti scene? Welcome to an Art Stories that delves into the subject of art and public transport – from the earliest projects for the Stockholm metro to graffiti and innovative conceptual art!

Finsta och Aia Jüdes – Artist talk

Meet the artist Finsta and curator Aia Jüdes in a talk about Finsta's art and the newly opened exhibition The Reurn of Finsta. Finsta grew up in Lund and has been active in the graffiti scene for 25 years. Today, with his playful and distinctive imagery, he is one of Europe's leading urban contemporary artists. The fourth poet, Frej Haar, will appear in the debut section of the upcoming issue of the magazine 20TAL. Speaker: Jonathan Brott.

DJs: DJ Rizzolo & Golden Ivy

Ivar Lantz is a textile artist and musician under the name Golden Ivy. Simon Eliasson is active as a music journalist and producer, among other things. under his alias Rizzolo DJ. They have worked together in different ways since the middle of the 00's, and both share a passion for odd dance music. Their record collections usually meet in a concoction of cheap drum machines and new age flutes.

Bennich//Hellbring Duo – Music

Saxophonists Hannes Bennich and Olle Hellbring have more in common than most other saxophonists. They grew up together only fifty meters apart in Östergötland and got to know each other inside and out. Their musical journey has followed in the same footsteps and in the end they both ended up in Malmö. They have played together in all sorts of constellations, but never before together as a duo. Until now. With a sensitive and curious interaction, the duo will start from small written motifs that they develop and interpret in the moment. The naked duo format gives more space to use the room and the acoustics as a third member. The duo will move with technical conviction between fast vortices and large floating soundscapes.

Kakan Hermansson and Tone Schunnesson – Talk

Kakan Hermansson is a feminist, artist, and writer, with a degree in ceramics and glass from Konstfack. She has participated in several popular TV and radio programs and has her own blog at Elle magazine where she also runs the interview podcast Under huden. Tone is also a recurring guest in the cultural programs Babel and Cyklopernas Land on SVT. This evening they will talk about Art and the creative process!

Workshop with Finsta

Learn to sketch like the graffiti painters do in their black books! The black book is a lesser known and more private side of the otherwise public graffiti painting. In the blackbook, graffiti artists collect their own and others' works, in the form of sketches and coloured drawings. Sometimes they function as pre-studies of works in public spaces, but the drawings in a black book can also be considered as works of art in their own right – as a form of artist book. The black book has also been used as a tool for learning graffiti, and as documentation.

Esmeralda Ahlqvist – performance

Esmeralda Ahlqvist is a conceptual stage artist, educated at Malmö Theater Academy. She combines costume design with performance, text, music, and video, and composes all parts into performative video works. Esmeralda Ahlqvist works with fictional universes. In her aesthetics, she plays with theatricality and tragicomic clarity. This evening she will do a performance specially created for Skissernas Museum and Skissernas Night.

Moose Dawa – Music

Malmö-based artist Moose Dawa has been releasing music since 2011 but got attention in the beat-scene with his 5 track EP "Felia Mea”, released 2014. His creations are based on a solid passion for crate digging where he transforms the sounds he finds into sample-based instrumental hip hop with strong influences from jazz and soul. The result is a laid-back but driven atmosphere where the samples end up in a symbiosis with his swing-filled drums and organic instruments. Since the first release, he has collaborated with various artists and record companies internationally, been noticed by the media and built on his discography with full-length albums and EPs where he continues to explore his own expression in instrumental hip hop.

Bilal Irshed Trio – Music

Bilal Irshed is a Palestinian/ Danish oud virtuoso and music composer. He is recognised for having his own and unique interpretation of Middle Eastern music, as well as an elegant style of playing the oud. Bilal Irshed’s Trio consists of Bilal Irshed on oud, Rasmus Møldrup on double bass and Yohan Ramon on percussion. The Trio is a tribute to the sound of the oud, whose warm and meditative sound serves to capture the history and beauty of the Orient world. However, by combining this sound with a Cuban percussion and the double bass from the Scandinavian jazz tradition, the oud is placed in a new and contemporary context. The Trio was created by Bilal in 2011 and has since been very successful, receiving great acclaim for their live performances. Their music is largely inspired by the Arabic and Turkish music repertoires but is additionally interspersed with elements from the world music scene.
