This autumn, Skissernas Museum is highlighting Gunilla Klingberg\u2019s latest public art projects for two much-discussed public environments in Stockholm, and some of her international projects. Welcome to the opening of Gunilla Klingberg\u2019s exhibition WRINGWRENCHWHIRLWEAVE<\/h3>\r\nInauguration at 18:30. Bar and mingling in Birgit Rausing\u2019s Hall all evening. Free admission!\r\n\r\nThis autumn, Skissernas Museum is highlighting Gunilla Klingberg\u2019s latest public art projects for two much-discussed public environments in Stockholm, and some of her international projects. For the exhibition Klingberg has also created new works generated from the material she has saved during her processes.\r\n\r\nKlingberg\u2019s work Virvelvind<\/em> (Whirlwind) at Sergels Torg is fully integrated into the fa\u00e7ade of the Sergel Pavilion and depicts clues and symbols from events at and around the square. Traces of everyday activities seem to have been blown in by a whirlwind, leaving impressions in the red pigmented concrete fac\u0327ade. In Den r\u00f6da tr\u00e5den (Katarina)<\/em> (The Red Thread, Katarina) planned for the New Slussen Bus Terminal in 2025, the artist\u2019s starting point is the significant textile industry that was located around Slussen in the 1800s. A drawing of a patterned silk shawl is the departure point for the design of the waiting hall\u2019s 4,500m\u00b2 terrazzo floor. The exhibition\u2019s largest work, the architectural Pavilion<\/em>, is created from the moulds first made for the fa\u00e7ade of the Sergel Pavilion, thereby connecting the shared urban space with the exhibition space.\r\n\r\nGunilla Klingberg<\/strong> (born in 1966) has created art for public environments in Sweden, Norway, Canada and the USA, and participated in art biennials in several countries. Klingberg was recently adjunct professor at the Royal Institute of Art.
