Super Music Club #3: Hater (SE), Kathrine Windfeld (DK)
Songwriters and musicians come together to share the music that they are currently working on in a varied set of music hosted by Viktor Jansåker. A short concert is followed by a panel talk.
Line up:
HATER(SE) (duo performance, indie pop)
KATHRINE WINDFELD(DK) (jazz)
Process Video by MICHAEL HAFFTKA (US) (art, expressionism)
Caroline Landahl and Måns Leonartsson from the visionary indie band Hater are performing unreleased songs in an intimate stripped-back duo setting of guitar and vocals. Touring extensively around Europe over the last few years, they’ve performed at arenas and concert halls with Ben Howard as well as touring in America. Their last album “Sincere” (2022) has the feeling of a gorgeous dazzling piece of aching romanticism destined to feature on a thousand mixtapes.
Highly acclaimed Kathrine Windfeld (DK) is a jazz pianist, composer and arranger who leads her own big band. The Guardian describes her music as a rare combination of delicacy and strength: “A colorful meeting of sophisticated harmonic passages, driving grooves and poetic ballads that float into her explosive arrangements”. This evening Kathrine Windfeld is inviting us into her creative process, while playing some of the music she is currently working on the museums grand piano.
Process video by Michael and Yonat Hafftka (US): “Traces of Summer”. Contemporary artist Michael Hafftka, whose work is represented in the permanent collection of Museum of Modern art as well as The Metropolitan Museum of Art is contributing a process video of him painting a landscape painting, filmed and edited by poet Yonat Hafftka. The video gives a rare insight into the working process of an expressionist painter and is filmed in Red Hook, New York.
