The critically acclaimed group Vingborg/Valencia plays dreamy and playful jazz. The band, consisting of Hannah Vingborg (keys, synth), Christian Valencia (guitar), Emil Lund (bass), and Lasse Wagner (drums), stands out with its sensitive melodies, creative grooves, and expressive presence.
Their music is rooted in jazz and folk but playfully extends far beyond these genres—into rock, pop, and ambient. This is a band that both dares and wants, resulting in jazz that is both dramatic and contemplative.
The group was nominated for a Danish Music Award 2024 as New Jazz Artist of the Year, and Niels Overgaard (Jazznyt.dk) writes about their debut album:
