Super Music Club #4: Diane Emerita and Quiet Commotion
Free admission
The talk will be in English
Super Music Club and Skissernas Museum invites you to a creative evening with Diane Emerita and Quiet Commotion.
In this event you’ll discover the songwriting process through a stripped-back mini-concert of unreleased music and a live interview hosted by jazz guitarist Viktor Jansåker, hoping to inspire the audience.
Diane Emerita enchants her listeners with her strong voice, soft melodies, and songs about human connection. A background in classical piano is evident in the piano compositions woven into her alternative pop tracks, which also carry jazzy and soulful elements. Listening to Diane Emerita’s poetic soundscape feels like a warm embrace. She has received praise from outlets such as SVT, Babel, Aftonbladet, GAFFA, and Swedish P3, as well as acclaim in Denmark.
At 17, Daniel Katz has already spent years recording. Under the name Quiet Commotion, he released his first sketches at thirteen and has already performed at various indie clubs all over Sweden, including Slaktkyrkan Stockholm. According to music journalist Per Sinding Larsen, ‘a rocket career feels like an understatement’ when it comes to this musician. This evening you’ll hear a duo performance of vocals, guitar and clarinet together with Kalle Isenbecker Solheim.
