The creative environment where new artistic ideas are born!
The creative workshop is central to the museum’s educational activities. We offer workshops for children, teens and adults in which participants get the chance to experiment with a diversity of artistic techniques and materials. In the creative process, we encourage participants to experiment in order to find their own pictorial expression and sculptural forms. On the basis of varying themes, with inspiration from the collections and the temporary exhibitions, each participant gets the opportunity to explore his or her own creative process and to experience undemanding creativity.

Be creative on your own!
In the autumn we hope to once again be able to welcome children, teens and adults to activities in the Creative Workshop. But until then, the museum offers different ways for you to be creative on your own.
A warm welcome!
Join in and create a collaborative weaving! Everyone is welcome to contribute! Remember to keep your distance from other participants. Try weaving with textile material that can be found in baskets during the museum's opening hours or nature material that you bring from home or find on the ground. You can start and end wherever you want. Weave the material you choose with your hands between the warp threads, back and forth between every other thread. Next round, start from the opposite direction. The looms will be in the sculpture park throughout the summer, inspired by the exhibition Weavings, sketches with the artist Andreas Eriksson.
Everyone is welcome to participate and create! Take inspiration from the colours and shapes in Andreas Eriksson's large painting Klotz on the wall. Create a sketch and place it behind the loom or start directly with your chosen threads. Yarn in different colours can be found in baskets and there is books where you can find inspiration and tips.
The looms are available to use during the exhibition period for Weavings, sketches with the artist Andreas Eriksson, until the 10th of October. At the end of the exhibition, all finished weavings will be displayed here in the hall. You are welcome back to see the results!
