Modulating Light was a four-week design workshop at Lund University, School of Architecture where students investigated techniques in surface modeling and 3D printing. Students explored geometric relationships between surface continuity, tessellation, and modulation through the use of surface modeling and algorithmic editing software (Rhinoceros 3D and Grasshopper). Computer models were then digitally fabricated using computer aided manufacturing processes (3D printing) in order to evaluate conditions of materiality and light.
