Master’s students from Malmö Art Academy present their works in the collection galleries of Skissernas Museum and in other, perhaps more unexpected, locations throughout the museum. The exhibition offers insights into contemporary art’s ongoing discussions and investigations, and features a wide range of expressions, themes, techniques, and materials.
During the spring semester, grade 4 students in Lund municipality created self-portraits using printmaking techniques. They also worked on image analysis and discussed concepts such as identity, norms and messages. Their portraits will be on display in the Birgit Rausing Gallery throughout the summer.
The exhibition follows threads from the origin of the digital, the woven fabric, into today’s and tomorrow’s digital reality. The exhibition brings together three artists who work with coded threads in their art in completely different ways.

This summer’s major exhibition at Skissernas Museum presents artist and researcher EvaMarie Lindahl. In the exhibition "The Museum Fauna – Lost Tails and Unheard Stories of Resistance", she has done artistic investigations of the art collections of Skissernas Museum and Lund University, shedding light on stories that have long been overlooked – those of animals.
During a creative week at Skissernas Museum the curators from Routes of Resistance will collectively continue the process by exploring each other’s material to create a joint form of expression, negotiating polyphonic, more complex perspectives on global artistic routes of resistance. In Birgit Rausing's Hall, this process-based project develops in the form of an exhibition, workshops, talks, screenings and performance.
