Baby-friendly Tour of the collection
Free admission for students, young people under 25, and employees of Lund University.
Join us for a guided tour of the collection, where one of our knowledgeable art guides will introduce you to the history of the museum and its collection, with a closer look at a selection of artworks.
The tour is held in English and lasts approximately 30 minutes.
The Baby-friendly Tours at Skissernas Museum are the perfect activity if you are on parental leave or looking after a baby aged 0–15 months. During these tours, engaging stories and conversations about art are accompanied by cooing and crying as we explore the museum’s collection or temporary exhibition. The tour takes place at a relaxed pace, with babies welcome to stay in their pushchairs, slings or baby carriers. The tour is aimed at adults, but is adapted to the needs of the group and the babies. If needed, you are of course welcome to take a break or leave the tour at any time.
Visiting the museum with a baby and pram:
Prams and pushchairs are of course welcome in the galleries, but please keep the basket and undercarriage clear. For safety reasons, backpacks of any size, fabric bags and bags larger than 20 × 30 cm (approximately the size of an A4 sheet of paper) are not permitted in the exhibition spaces. Changing bags are an exception. Please note, however, that food and drink may not be brought into or consumed in the galleries.
Lockable storage lockers are available by the entrance. If you would prefer not to bring your pushchair on the tour, you can leave it in the entrance area. Please ask a member of staff where it would be most suitable to park it.
There is also a toilet with a changing table in the entrance area. The museum doors open at 11.00 am. We recommend arriving in good time for the tour so that you have time to attend to any baby-related needs beforehand.
Please ask a member of staff if you are looking for a quiet place to breastfeed.
