Welcome to a guided tour of the exhibition ARCHITECTURE SCULPTURE Sigurd Lewerentz, Petra Gipp
As one of the country’s foremost architects, Sigurd Lewerentz influenced the development of architecture in Sweden during large parts of the 20th century. The exhibition presents some of his most famous works and gives an insight into his ideas regarding the design of the Eastern Cemetery with chapel and flower kiosk in Malmö, Malmö City Theatre and St Peter’s Church in Klippan. New generations are now discovering and being inspired by Lewerentz’s architectural art. One of them is the architect and artist Petra Gipp, who has created a new sculptural work for the exhibition, an architectural exploration of Lewerentz’s world.
